I’ve been pretty MIA on here lately, but I final

I’ve been pretty MIA on here lately, but I finally updated my blog for the first time in forever. Check out the link in my bio for a recap of what we’ve been up to!

It’s been ages since I’ve posted anything. I guess I’ve just been soaking up the holiday season. Christmas has been wonderful! I know it’s cliche to say, but it’s truly my favorite time of the year. The week following Christmas is always such a mix of emotions for me. I don’t quite feel ready to wake up and be a responsible adult who doesn’t watch movies and eat junk food all day haha, but at the same time, I am so ready for a good schedule again and getting back to a regular exercise routine and healthier food choices. It’s hard to say goodbye to the Christmas season for the year, and yet I’m excited to turn the pages of a new year with new opportunities and adventures in it.
Most of all, I feel so incredibly blessed. So blessed to have the family I have to experience all of it with and to be surrounded by so many people that I love and who love me. And so thankful for the knowledge I have of a Savior who came to this world to live and die for me and the hope for the future that that knowledge brings.

My husband got to help with some hurricane relief

My husband got to help with some hurricane relief over the weekend and came home with these! Can’t wait to break them open 😋

Already missing this view and friends that we said goodbye to (for now), but excited for all the adventures ahead! En route to the sunshine state! Thankful to be arriving after the hurricane and praying for all those who were affected.

Kelly and I were up into the wee hours of Monday m

Kelly and I were up into the wee hours of Monday morning cleaning and packing the last few things into the travel trailer (literally, we went to bed at 4:30am). We’re finally parked and can breathe a sigh of relief. Moving is not for the faint of heart and I couldn’t have done it without a lot of help from my sister and mother-in-law and a few friends from church! I told Kelly that the next time we move will be easy, because we’ll be upsizing instead of downsizing haha. Change is always bittersweet. There are things you miss and things you gain. The kids are missing the routine that we’ve been in for the last two years, but we’re slowly getting into a new routine. As much work as it is, I love the process of downsizing. Getting rid of all the inessential things makes so much more space and time for the things and people you love most. I’ve found that I thrive on variety and change and I’m excited to see what adventures the year brings. Right now, I’m loving being parked by the river and out of the hustle and bustle of city life.
